Center for Gynecology & Women’s Health
Our center is fortunate to have the services of highly qualified and experienced nurse practitioners who, along with our doctors,
help to manage both our patients and our practice. These professionals see patients for regular office visits, both independently and with our physicians.
Also among areas of duty and special focus of our certified, registered nurse practitioners (CRNPs) are: teen health, continence/urodynamics/pelvic
muscle function, breast health, and laser services. Our nurse practitioners serve as a vital resource for patient education and counseling. Just as our medical and office staff does, these CRNPs consider it their job to be there for patients, with answers to questions
and ready availability of care.
Our nurse practitioners:
Marie S. McClay, BSN, MSN, CRNP, has a bachelor’s of science in nursing from West Chester University and a master’s of science in nursing from the University
of Pennsylvania (as a Healthcare of Women Nurse Practitioner). She also has a Certificate of Teaching from the Teacher Education Program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She is certified as a nurse practitioner in obstetric, gynecologic, and neonatal nursing. She has considerable teaching experience, having been a clinical instructor and preceptor in nursing, as well as a community
health program coordinator (in breast health), at Thomas Jefferson University; a clinical preceptor in the Healthcare of Women Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing; and an instructor
(at Medical Teaching Associates) for advance-practice-nursing, medical, and physician-assistant students.

Ms. McClay has worked as a staff nurse in the gynecologic oncology unit at Pennsylvania Hospital and as an advanced-level
nurse in the labor and delivery unit at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where she also served as a nurse practitioner
in Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, providing care to women in such areas as reproductive endocrinology, family planning,
and teen-clinic services. More recently, she served as a clinical lecturer/specialist in the Women’s Healthcare Studies Program at the University of
Pennsylvania School of Nursing, and as a nurse practitioner at Drexel University’s Women’s Healthcare Center (Teen Pregnancy
Clinic). Ms. McClay joined the staff of Frankford’s Center for Gynecology & Women’s Health in 2006.

Tracy McGorry, BSN, MSN, CRNP, has a bachelor’s of science in nursing from Holy Family University and a master’s of science in nursing from the University
of Pennsylvania (as a Healthcare of Women Nurse Practitioner), where she was in the Honor Society of Nursing. She has been certified in inpatient obstetrics since 2003 and as a women’s-health nurse practitioner since 1998. At Frankford Hospitals, Ms. McGorry has been a staff nurse in obstetrics and a nurse practitioner. She gained private-practice experience serving as a nurse practitioner in gynecologic care in a private gyn practice. She has been a clinical instructor in ob-gyn for nursing students at Thomas Jefferson University and at the University of
Pennsylvania. She also worked as a staff educator in maternal-child health at Temple University Health System. Ms. McGorry joined the staff of Frankford’s Center for Gynecology & Women’s Health in 2006.
