The Center for Gynecology & Women’s Health at Frankford Hospitals offers full-service gynecologic care. Ours is a one-stop center for the gynecologic needs of adult and adolescent women.
Our experienced doctors and nurse practitioners offer education, prevention, screening, diagnosis, and treatment – giving
you a recourse of first choice for routine care and a full range of gynecologic conditions. As part of care, our staff members can review with you the function of the female pelvic area and urinary system – and can share statistics on gynecologic health.
Our clinicians can provide you with care in the following areas:
• sexually transmitted diseases;
• inflammations or infections of the upper or lower female reproductive and urologic tract, including vaginal infections as well as urinary tract infections or chronic conditions such as interstitial cystitis;
• ovarian cysts;
• Pap testing;
• pelvic pain;
• all types of menstrual- and menopausal-related conditions or symptoms;
• referral for care for fibromyalgia as well as other rheumatologic or orthopedic conditions.
If you have question or concerns in these areas, we invite you to consult our knowledgeable staff members. If you believe you that you are recognizing signs and symptoms of gynecologic problems, our clinicians can provide expert evaluation and care, as well as referral, as needed to other specialists on the interdisciplinary
women’s health team at Frankford.
The radiology and other diagnostic services at Frankford Hospitals offer the highest quality studies. As a patient at our center, you will know that results of your screening studies or other tests will be sent directly to us
for follow-up, including results from a biopsy or other lab pathology analysis. In addition, our staff can provide other diagnostic or treatment procedures needed for general gynecologic care, such as cytoscopy, endometrial biopsy, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, dilation and curettage (D&C), pelvic ultrasound, and electrosurgery.
Our staff can also offer women screening and referral for behavioral and psychosocial issues, including eating disorders, depression, anxiety, domestic violence, and other needs.
