Frankford Nurses: Many Roles, One Profession
Nurses practice in a variety of settings within Frankford Hospitals. The communities vary between the three campus locations
and the patient populations are diverse. Frankford nurses adapt their skills to provide current, evidence-based care to promote
the best patient outcomes in all units for all patients.
At Frankford, nurse roles extend beyond bedside care of patients. Many nurses are involved in our shared governance model
that shapes our practice, as well as in research to determine what is evidence-based practice. Others give their time to education
and support programs that provide additional service to our patients. Some nurses are also involved in the community, through
healthcare education or promotion of the nursing profession.
With its Professional Nurse Recognition Program (PNRP) , Frankford Hospitals recognizes members of its nursing staff for their contributions at the bedside and beyond. The PNRP awardee
