The Southeastern Pennsylvania (SePA) Chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) awards several Excellence Awards on an annual basis. This year, a Frankford Hospital Critical Care nurse, Cindy Rizzo, RN, BSN, CCRN, was the recipient of the prestigious SePA Excellence in Critical Care Practice Award. This award recognizes a critical care nurse who embodies and exemplifies the principles of critical care nursing practice. Cindy is a nurse in the ICU at the Torresdale Campus. She is involved in precepting new critical care nurses, mentoring nurse externs and is a chairperson of the Resource and Professional Development Council.
