Frankford Hospitals received honorable mention for innovation in digital image management in the October 2003 issue of Health Imaging & IT magazine - the only hospital in the Delaware Valley to be honored for maximizing its investment in information technology. Frankford offers a “filmless” Radiology Department that utilizes the latest digital technology to perform everything from the general x-ray to highly technical CAT scans and angiograms. With the digital system, tests are performed and results received more rapidly than in a traditional setting. This rapid reporting time further enhances patient care, allowing for an almost immediate diagnosis and treatment plan.
