Action News Reporter Anita Brikman Speaks at Frankford Hospital's 3rd Annual Women's Health Day

Action News Health and Medical Reporter Anita Brikman (right) recently served as the keynote speaker at Frankford Hospital's 3rd Annual Women's Health Day. From innovative treatment advances on the horizon to the latest research findings, Brikman brought over 200 Philadelphia area women up to date on health issues such as breast cancer, health concerns during the child-bearing years and hormone replacement therapy.

She also offered self-improvement and anti-aging tips and explained which health screenings are "musts." In its third year, Frankford Hospital's Women's Health Day is a day of health information, screenings and fun offered free to women in the Philadelphia area.

This year, participants received free blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol screenings, chair massages and stress assessments. Physicians and other healthcare professionals also led discussions on women-related health issues including colon cancer, menopause, breast cancer, osteoporosis and hypo- and hyper-thyroidism.
