Frankford’s medical oncologists have extensive experience in innovative diagnostic and treatment modalities for a wide variety
of cancers. Our medical oncologists are board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology. This team
of physicians is committed to providing compassionate, individualized cancer care.
At Frankford, our oncologists work closely with surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, diagnostic radiologists and pathologists
in a multidisciplinary fashion to bring leading edge and seamlessly coordinated care to our patients.
This multidisciplinary approach to cancers of the breast, lung, colorectal, upper GI malignancies and lymphomas distinguishes
Frankford as one of the leaders in oncology care in the Delaware Valley.
Our outpatient chemotherapy suite at Frankford’s Torresdale Campus administers over 10,000 treatments per year, making it
one of the largest in Philadelphia. A team of experienced oncology certified nurses and a computerized drug dosing system
enable us to care for our patients n a comfortable setting close to home.
Appointments are also available at our offices conveniently located near the Bucks County and Frankford campuses of Frankford
Hospitals.
Research...
The Cancer Center at Frankford Hospital also participates in national clinical cancer research studies through membership
in the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG), Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG), the National Surgical Adjuvant
Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP), and the Jefferson Oncology Group (JOG).
Our medical oncologists have a continuing commitment to gaining knowledge in the rapidly changing world of cancer research
through our involvement with these latest clinical trials and protocols. That commitment is strengthened through Frankford’s
membership in the Jefferson Cancer Network.
