Endoscopy & Ambulatory Services Center

Our GI division is one of the few that operates its own endoscopy and ambulatory care center.  This facility offers endoscopy services and other procedures from the convenience of the Frankford Hospital - Torresdale location.This is a valuable resource for patients, because it permits our skilled and experienced GI specialists to provide diagnostic and treatment steps at the same medical center as their primary patient offices. 

 In 2005, more than 4,000 patients underwent endoscopies, colonoscopies, or other tests or procedures at this facility.  In 2007, the center was completely remodeled in a new location with the most up to date design, technology, and appointments.

The center has a dedicated anesthesiology staff for procedures requiring sedation or other anesthesia services.  At this comfortable facility, the staff can provide care for patients with routine needs, including endoscopic testing, screening, and evaluation, as well for those with more emergent requirements, including the need for dilation, stenting, or other procedures related to function of the GI tract.  

The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals Organization (JCAHO) and the State of Pennsylvania both inspect this facility for licensure.  We invite you to take advantage of our endoscopy and ambulatory services center in Frankford's Division of Gastoenterology.
