Surgical procedures

Surgery is often the best option for a variety of colorectal conditions.  At all of its campuses, Frankford offers traditional forms of open surgery, performed by experienced, board-certified surgeons.  But more recently developed forms of surgery that are minimally invasive and use a laparoscopic approach offer the advantages of small incisions, less pain, early discharge, and faster return to normal activities.
Specialists can treat a variety of colorectal conditions with these newer types of procedures:

polyps

inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)

diverticulitis

proctologic conditions (conditions of the anus and rectum)

colorectal cancer
