Finding the Silver Lining

Frankford Hospitals’ biannual Charity Ball was held on January 20, 2001, at the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue in Center City, Philadelphia. Nearly 200 gathered for an evening of camaraderie, fine food and dancing. The evening began with a video presentation featuring the inspirational stories of Jo-Ann Labenz, Suzanne Pine and Robert Ramsey, three cancer survivors who shared their experiences in their own words. Funds raised through our Charity Ball assisted in further augmenting our Cancer Program. The event raised more than $32,000 for patients of Frankford Hospitals’ Cancer Center, which provides a comprehensive range of high-quality patient care, including surgical, radiation oncology, medical oncology and pain management services, along with education and support programs.
