Frankford Hospital - Torresdale, located at Knights and Red Lion Roads in the far Northeast, is a 239-bed, medical/surgical
facility that offers comprehensive health and wellness services for the whole family.
The hospital provides inpatient medicine, surgery, a comprehensive Cancer Center, which can handle 98 percent of all cancer
treatments in a friendly, familiar environment. Torresdale is also a state-accredited Level II trauma center, one of the original
nine trauma sites designated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Among its three locations, Frankford Hospitals handle more
emergency visits than any other hospital in the Delaware Valley.
In 1998, Frankford Hospitals opened a Heart Center at Torresdale which combines the benefits of experienced heart specialists
and advanced technology with the convenience of a nearby community setting to perform more than 400 surgical heart procedures
each year.
